TERMS OF WARRANTY

As of 1 January 2010,  Swedish Made Auto (SMA) warrants its workmanship in servicing or repairing any vehicle performed at the owner’s expense against defects for a period of 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, as set forth below, except as to the following: (a) Any vehicle that may be classified for (or actually used for) commercial use. (b) Repairs performed using used, salvage or customer-supplied parts. In this case, this warranty will be subject to the provisions provided for on the customer’s final invoice. (c) SMA reserves the right to limit or refuse warranty on repairs performed when other repairs reasonably deemed necessary to ensure original repair will not fail prematurely, and the additional repairs are declined by the customer. The warranty period begins on the date noted on the sales receipt provided to the customer upon completion of the initial repairs and at the mileage for the vehicle noted on such receipt.
This warranty covers the parts repaired or installed as a component of requested service or maintenance, plus labor to repair or install such parts, both subject to the provisions set forth below.
In the event that service or repair performed at the owner’s expense needs to be repeated within the warranty period, SMA will (1) correct the defective service or part or (2) replace the defective part, at its option.
This warranty does not apply to parts or materials covered by other warranties or services for which the owner was not charged.
This warranty does not apply to damage caused by rodents and animals.
This warranty is made to the original retail purchaser of the service or part and is not transferable to subsequent owners.
This warranty does not apply to vehicles which have been altered, misused or abused (including but not limited to excessive operating conditions) or improperly maintained or used (including maintenance or use beyond manufacturer’s recommended limits) if the alteration, misuse or improper maintenance or use of the vehicle has made it necessary to repeat the service or required additional service, for example, use as a commercial vehicle.
This warranty is issued and will be honored only by SMA. In order to make claim under this warranty, the owner must present the original repair order for the defective service and the related paid sales receipt. SMA does not assume or authorize any person to assume for it any other obligation or liability on its behalf. If warranty work is required, ALL OR ANY REPAIRS WILL BE DONE AT SMA ONLY. This warranty does not cover any incidental or consequential damage, including loss of value of the vehicle, lost profit or earnings, and out-of-pocket expenses, including expenses for towing, substitute transportation, storage or lodging. Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose on these products/services is limited in duration to the express warranty period provided above.
This warranty sets forth the terms of the warranty provided by SMA, and no oral warranty shall apply.
